Lore Drop: Arashett the Celestial

Character Profile: Arashett (“Ash”)

The Grieving Vanguard

Arashett is a celestial warrior and one of the last surviving guards of Erathin, the Fallen Goddess of Dawn and Defiance. A veteran of an ancient, cosmic war against the Void, he has spent billions of years stationed in the heavens watching over Earth—a solitary vigil that has severely worn and fractured his memory of the time before. Despite the staggering weight of the eons, Ash remains deeply devout, carrying his fallen goddess’s honor, vigor, and unyielding sense of justice into the apocalypse.

Physically, Ash is a breathtaking and imposing force. Standing at a towering 6’6″ with a massive, powerful build, his ethereal nature is undeniable. He possesses short, tousled golden curls that blend seamlessly into the small, golden-feathered wings framing his brow and ears. His gaze is intense and otherworldly; his eyes are a striking starburst of gold that bloom with a vibrant, dawn-pink center when his deepest emotions are provoked.

As Beckett’s magically tethered celestial guide, Ash’s connection to the human runs far deeper than mere survival. Though they have only just met in the flesh, Ash has listened to the unique, ethereal melody of Beckett’s soul for the human’s entire life.

Beneath his stoic, duty-bound warrior exterior lies a fierce, protective warmth and a surprising affinity for the mundane comforts of humanity. When he isn’t cleaving Void-corrupted monstrosities with his twin battered-steel hand-axes, Ash can usually be found completely engrossed in human TV dramas, marveling at the complexities of mortal romance, or harboring a desperate, newly-discovered desire to finally try a cup of hot chocolate.
