The Primordial Pair: The First Threadbound

Before the turning of the Metronome or the weaving of the Loom, there was only the mist. As the primordial mists of creation swept through the empty expanse, they coalesced into the first celestial bodies—and from them, the first consciousness awoke.

They came into being at the exact same fraction of a second. Illuna, the great Moon Dragon, and Solare, the blazing Sun Phoenix. When they opened their eyes and their celestial gazes locked for the very first time, the sheer gravity of their bond witnessed the world into existence.

The Divine Plane & The Avatars of Light While they seeded this new earth with life—breathing animals, mortals, and eventually the other gods into being—they forged Ithaea as a separate, higher plane for their own divinity. In Ithaea, the skies run a brilliant cream-yellow, filled with floating masses of land and pure, revitalizing light.

Throughout the ages, the Primordial Pair have worn many forms and transcended gender, but their most recorded manifestations align with the elven races they shaped.

  • Illuna (The Lunari): She is depicted as an eternally youthful Moon Elf. She possesses flowing silver-white hair and pristine, pale skin. Her piercing, anabach-blue eyes are scattered with diamond-like starbursts—a gaze that carries the weight of esoteric aether and faith in will. She is draped in a magnificent shroud of woven moonlight and silver chains.
  • Solare (The Solari): He is depicted as a radiant Sun Elf, his hair, eyes, and skin glowing with metallic gold. As the God of Life Energy and Vitality, he is a beacon in the night, a masterful healer, and a fierce lover of all creations.

The Aether-Willows and the Threadbound Fate

Illuna and Solare were created together, bound inexplicably since time immemorial. After they had shaped the world and the pantheon, they decided to share the profound beauty of their connection with the mortal realm.

Together, they created the Aether-Willows. These divinely infused trees possess the magical authority to latch onto the threads of fate of every living creature, tying one soul intrinsically to another. This fated connection transcends linear time. A person can be born while their mate already exists, or their mate may be yet to come—but the Aether-Willows ensure that their threads intersect within their lifetime, granting them the chance to act on a love forged by the Primordials themselves.
